Paper work counts!

The City of Terrace has learned a valuable lesson in the art of the paper flow, after Mayor Dave Pernarowski advised City Council that the community had missed out on a development grant.

By missing out on a deadline, Terrace business owners won't be able to qualify for a grant program to improve their business facades, a program which Prince Rupert has already put into motion as we outlined on the blog last month.

Besides Prince Rupert, 11 other communities in Northern British Columbia filed their applications by the deadline, which Terrace missed, a situation that the Terrace Mayor is hopeful will not happen again.

The trail of missed opportunity can be reviewed from this Terrace Standard article.

Not to make a bad situation worse for our neighbours to the east, but Prince Rupert business owners can learn more about the Business Facade program from this link.
