Friendship House to distribute 100 Thanksgiving Food Hampers on Friday

Prince Rupert's Friendship House has helped 100 families in the City prepare for Thanksgiving, providing Thanksgiving Hampers for five dollars, destined to those in the most need.

The Hampers, provided with the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia, were to be distributed between 2 and 4 on Friday.

All 100 were sold in quick order, with those of the KID Daycare and Preschool program at Friendship House offered the first opportunity to sign up for them.

The demand clearly outstripped the supply, as indicated by the fact that the sign up sheet at Friendship House filled up fairly fast.

The Next Hamper Program distribution is planned for the Christmas season.

You can learn more about the Hamper program and other offerings of Friendship House from their Facebook page and their twitter feed.

Their website currently is in the midst of being updated with a promise of return shortly.
