Prince Rupert RCMP update the community on the search for Adam Moore

"At this time we are able to confirm that the vehicle parts that were located belonged to the vehicle owned by Adam Moore ...Due to lack of daylight and the safety of search teams becoming a concern the search has been temporally suspended overnight, and will resume at daybreak."-- Constable Matthew Ericson, providing the latest information on the missing persons case of Prince Rupert resident Adam Moore

On Sunday evening, the Prince Rupert Detachment of the RCMP, provided an update on the missing persons file of Prince Rupert resident Adam Moore.

Confirming that parts of a vehicle owned by missing Prince Rupert resident had been found near the Galloway Bridge, just east of Port Edward. The discovery of the vehicle parts by members of the Terrace Search and Rescue group was the first major development in the missing person's file, since Mr. Moore was reported missing on December 31st.

From that day, an exhaustive search had taken place along Highway 16 from Prince Rupert to Terrace, as well as in the surrounding region of the Prince Rupert area.

With word of today's development, the search will now be concentrated on the Galloway Bridge area, a location where search groups continued their efforts through the afternoon on Sunday.

Owing to darkness and the safety of the search teams in the area, the search has been called off for the night and is now scheduled to resume during the daylight hours of Monday.

In a media release early Sunday evening, Constable Matthew Ericson outlined that Monday's efforts will make use of  a dive team, along with members of the RCMP West Coast Marine Service and other members of search and rescue in the region.

As the file is an ongoing investigation, the RCMP again issued their request that anyone with further information on the incident to contact the RCMP at 250-627-0700 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
