RCMP identify third vehicle involved in Highway 16 fatality on Tuesday

The RCMP issued a thank you to the public on Thursday.

As one sharp eyed resident of Prince Rupert provided a tip to police, that led to the identification of a third vehicle that was involved in a fatal crash on Highway 16 on Tuesday.

As a result of further investigation, the driver of the third vehicle was identified as a 44 year old man from Prince Rupert.

A 22 year old Prince Rupert resident was killed in the vehicle incident of Tuesday, which took place West of Terrace around 3 PM.

The RCMP out of Terrace had issued this advisory on January 8th seeking the assistance of the public.

The investigation into the incident continues and anyone with further information of assistance to the RCMP should contact the Terrace detachment at 250-638-7400 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
