Search continues on and expands for missing Prince Rupert Man

It's been a little over three days since the RCMP were first notified regarding the missing status of Prince Rupert resident Adam Moore and despite an intensive search both in the city and along Highway 16 to the east, no sign of the missing man has been discovered as of yet.

As we outlined on the blog on New Year's Day, Mr. Moore was last seen in the city at 3:15 AM on the 29th of December at the 2nd Avenue 7-11.

The RCMP commenced their search for him upon receipt of the missing person's complaint on the 31st, launching an intensive ground, air and water search around the region and along the Highway 16 corridor to Terrace.

Friday afternoon, the RCMP updated the situation outlining the steps taken thus far and providing for a sense of where things will move from here. At that media conference a Missing Poster was released by the local detachment, providing key information on the file and how information can be relayed to the Prince Rupert RCMP. As we continue in this search effort we are appealing to Prince Rupert and the surrounding community for any possible leads that could assist us in finding Adam .... Something that the public may feel is insignificant may be imperative to our investigation and we are urging the public to make contact with investigators. --  Cst. Matt Ericson, spokesman for the Prince Rupert RCMP

The expanded nature of the search was explained at the press conference, the latest developments providing for assets from the CN Rail Police, Department of Fisheries, RCMP West Coast Marine Services and Canadian Coast Guard joining in on the efforts to located Mr. Moore.

Earlier in the day, his family made an emotional plea by way of YouTube, seeking more information on his whereabouts and if he was to see their message, asking that he contact the family at home.
