Hobiyee Celebrations set to start tomorrow

Laxgalts’ap will play the host to the 2014 edition Hobiyee, a celebration of the Nisga'a New Year that will bring many members of the Nisga'a nation to the Nass Community for the weekend.

Thursday evening and on through to Sunday, travellers will be making the trek to and from Laxgalts'ap to take part in one of  the most anticipated events on the North coast calendar.

A celebration which moves from community to community of the region, each year providing for a memorable experience for all of those in attendance.

This years celebration launches on Friday morning at 10 AM with a presentation  from School District Number 92 and wraps up on day one, with the host community offering their celebration.

Events pick up again on Saturday at 10 AM, with another full day of celebrations leading to the Grand Finale scheduled for 9 PM

CFNR provides some background on the two days of events here, with Live broadcasts planned from 11 to 5 PM, as well as a live stream of the events from Laxgalts'ap available on their portal.
