Drive BC issues Travel Advisories for Northwest Highways



As the anticipated weekend storm begins to come ashore, Drive BC has issued its first Travel Advisory of the weekend. Advising against travel on Highway 16 from Prince Rupert to Terrace, unless absolutely necessary.



The string of advisories that quickly followed for regions of the Northwest looked like this.




The first Advisory was issued at 3:30 PM, advising of blowing snow and limited visibility.

The same conditions and Advisories have also been issued for areas east of Terrace, north to the Nass and south to Kitimat.

Earlier Friday, Environment Canada issued a Winter Storm Warning for the North Coast Inland areas.
