MLA's Week, May 12-15, 2014

A snapshot of some of the talking points from North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice, during this week's proceedings of the Legislature.

The four days of the legislature work week, found the North Coast MLA making four contribution to the discussion in the House or Committee rooms in Victoria.

Through the twelve sessions of the Legislature in House, or Committee work listed for the week of May 12 -15, MLA Rice appears in the index for the Legislature week session four times.

Her comments and questions on the week focused on the calls for a Shuttle Bus system to be in place for Highway 16, part of the Highway of Tears conversation of recent years.

Ms. Rice also outlined some questions and concerns on LNG development and the encroachment of the Agricultural Land Reserve as part of her week of work in Victoria.

As for committee work, MLA Rice is a member of the Standing Committee on Children and Youth,  that Committee, however there were no meetings of that committee this week.

The Legislature will not be in session next week, with no sessions planned from May 20-22.

MLA's return for their final week of work for the summer on May 26, the four day countdown to their summer break coming to an end on May 29.

The Legislature will not reopen for parliamentary sessions until October.
