Prince George to Prince Rupert corridor to see service improvements on Rogers Communications network

Rogers wireless customers in the Northwest will soon find that their Rogers service is about to undergo significant improvements, including the debut of additional coverage in remote areas of the Highway 16 corridor between Prince Rupert and Prince George.

That observation from Rogers officials, was part of the larger overview of a 450 million dollar investment by Rogers announced on Thursday, which will see improvements made over a three year period to its wireless service across the Province.

And while the majority of the expansion is set for Interior, Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and Northeastern British Columbia, for the Northwest and through to Prince George, the improved coverage and connectivity will provide for extra security for those that travel between communities along Highway 16.

Improvements to the wireless service will also provide for better results for current residents as well as  the growing number of business people and travellers to Northern British Columbia that utilize smart phones, tablets and other electronic devices as part of their travels.

You can review more of the announcement from Thursday from the Rogers media room listings.
