Provincial exams to go ahead for Charles Hays Students

While the full scale strike by BCTF members is underway province wide and with it the cancellation of classes, the schedule for those taking Provincial exams this June is still in place.

In a letter to Parents and Guardians of last week, SD52 outlined the process for the period of June 18-24 for those students of the District that are writing Provincial exams.

By way of an agreement between the School District and the PRDTU, students will be able to enter Charles Hays by way of the main parking lot leading directly into the Multi purpose room to write their exams without any impediment.

Students will already be aware of the schedule of their exams. (The SD posted this schedule to its website)

As we outlined on the blog yesterday, negotiations between the BCTF and BCSPEA broke off over the weekend without a resolution to outstanding issues, with public school teachers' taking to the picket lines today after yesterday's study session.

No word on the fate of future negotiations have been outlined today.

You can find more information on the provincial exam situation from this item on the SD website.
