City to launch "elevated flushing program" for Westview area on Thursday

The latest update provided by the City of Prince Rupert outlines some background on the plan to address the situation regarding the BOIL WATER ADVISORY in place for the Westview area of the city.

In a notice posted to the City's website on Wednesday morning, the City provided details on the elevated flushing program for the water system on that side of the city, a project which will start on Thursday.

As part of that effort the city is asking that residents in the area keep access to the hydrants clear of vehicles and other obstructions.

The Boil Water advisory has been in effect since Monday, last evening the City advised that the advisory would remain in effect through the weekend.
