BC Transit looks to stuff the bus in aid of the Food Bank on December 13th

Prince Rupert residents can grab themselves a free tour of the city on December 13th, simply by lending a hand to the Salvation Army's Prince Rupert Food Bank.

BC Transit is sponsoring a stuff the bus event at Canada Safeway on that Day, looking for donations to the Food Bank, those that participate will be able to climb aboard one of the city's transit buses for a trip around the city or to a destination that they may have in mind.

Potential passengers (or those just wishing to lend a hand to the Food Bank) have from 10 am to 5 PM on December 13th, to bring their non-perishable food items or cash donation to the Safeway parking lot and in return receive their free bus ride.

For those that rarely use the Transit service, it offers up the chance to maybe take a second look at what BC Transit provides as far as route accessibility and connections to all areas of the city.

For the food bank, it's another community minded organization looking to lend a hand at perhaps one of the most required times of the year.

You can review more about the Stuff the Bus plans from the BC Transit website
