MLA's Week February 10--12, 2015

The first week of the new Spring session provided for a fairly light workload for the returning MLA's, with the Speech from the Throne providing for Tuesday's work and the majority of the following day turned over to responses and observations on the Liberal  Government's plans for the next few months.

From the four sessions of the Legislature in the House, or Committee work listed for the week of February 10-12, MLA Rice appeared once as part of the archives of the proceedings of the week.

Ms. Rice speaking as the NDP's critic on rural health care, outlined some issues related to an ongoing health care situation in the Northeast part of the province.

Thursday's Question Period session addressed a number of questions to the Liberal's Health Minister the Honourable Terry Lake.

Our  items of review on MLA Rice and her discussion points in the Legislature can be found below:

As for committee work, MLA Rice is a member of the Standing Committee on Children and Youth.

That Committee held one meeting on Thursday morning, the background on that session can be reviewed here.

We have more background on the North Coast MLA available from our MLA's Week archive as well as our General Archive on the Legislature.
