Prince Rupert RCMP investigating Possible Arson on east side of the city

The Prince Rupert RCMP is seeking the assistance of the public in a case file of what could be a possible arson related to a fire at a residence in the 1600 block of 11th Avenue East early Sunday morning.

A member on patrol at approximately 12:35 on Sunday observed smoke in the residential area and upon arrival to the scene noted that Prince Rupert Fire Rescue was already on the scene, dealing  with both a house fire and a fully engulfed boat on a trailer.

The RCMP believe that both fires were deliberately set and are associated with each other.

No one was injured in the residence, as it's reported that no one was home at the time, however a dog inside the house had to be attended to by Fire Rescue personnel.
