Lax Kw'alaams seeks Board members for Coast Tsimshian Academy

The Coast Tsimshian Academy is looking for community members in Lax Kw'alaams to offer their services on the CTA School Board.

A notice posted to the Lax Kw'alaams website on June 2nd outlines the requirements for the four positions to be filled, with two positions to run for one year, the other two a two year terms.

Candidates who may be interested in the positions and how are not current employees of the Coast Tsimshian Academy must be at least 19 years of age and willing to volunteer for the 1 or 2 year terms of the positions.

Board members will have a commitment to attending monthly meet ins and be prepared to chair a committee or working group. The Academy Board is particularly interested in seeking applications from those with expertise in education, public relations, finance, law, community engagement and
other relevant areas.

Interested applicants are asked to submit their statement of interest (to a maximum of 300 words) along with references to the School Board Nominations Working Group
