Family Fun Circus set to pull into town for Sunday performances

The Civic Centre will be the setting for two shows of the Family Fun Circus this Sunday as the touring circus sets up shop in Prince Rupert.

A notice posted to the City of Prince Rupert Recreation Department Facebook page advises that shows are planned at 2:30 and 4 PM with each show lasting around an hour and a half.

The Circus will be set up in the Arena at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

Admission prices for Sunday's events were not outlined in any of the notices, or information available regarding the tour.

The Family Fun Circus is a family owned and operated touring group, which travels across the United States and Canada  taking the circus to smaller communities that may not see a circus passing through very often.

It arrives in Prince Rupert following a month long tour of Alaska, with the most recent stop in Ketchikan.

You can learn more about their tour from their Facebook page, as well some background on the Circus is available through a blog,  while photos of their set up can be found from their photo feed.

Update: The Family Fun Circus will also be stopping in Terrace and New Hazleton on its way across Northern British Columbia.

The Terrace dates are on Monday and Tuesday at the Thornhill Community Grounds, with shows at 4:30 & 7:00 PM

The New Hazleton show is Wednesday at the Ice Arena parking lot, showtime is 7 PM
