Angie and Robert Robinson Public Inquest set for Prince Rupert Courthouse in September

The British Columbia Coroners Service has announced the date for a public inquest into the deaths of Prince Rupert residents Angie and Robert Robinson, with September 28th selected as the date to start the proceedings at the Prince Rupert Courthouse.

Ms. Robinson and her son Robert aged 16 were found dead in the family home in Prince Rupert on April 3 of 2014. At the time of their passing, concerns were raised by many in the community related to support for families with special needs as a contributing factor in the deaths.

The Presiding coroner Michael Egilson and a jury will hear evidence under oath from witnesses to determine the facts surrounding the incident of April, as well the jury will have the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances.

The proceedings of September 28th will start at 9:30 AM
