Blog Watching, week ending September 6, 2015

Our return to the blog after a late summer break provided for a number to items to get up to speed on, with the latest notes related to Prince Rupert City Hall carrying the bulk of the information flow for the week that is now wrapping up.

The City's ongoing efforts to add on to the City workforce offered up the opportunity for two items of interest, both of which attracted a large number of readers this week.

As well, the latest news on the seemingly never ending Watson Island legal files provided for yet one more item for the archive page this week.

The always topical subject of the weather also found some eyes this week, as an approaching weather system that could bring the final gasps of a Pacific hurricane to the North Coast and Haida Gwaii also found an interested audience over the last seven days.

However, when it comes to the most read item of the week, the range of developments of the last two weeks when it comes to Lelu Island and the prospect of an LNG Terminal development there continued to dominate the news cycle for the week just passed.

Lelu Island is a focal point for many, for a number of reasons  -- While some members of the Lax Kw'alaams Community set up a camp on Lelu Island, Pacific NorthWest LNG outlines a few of the options they are exploring related to their proposed LNG Terminal on the island (posted August 31, 2015)
