Community Registration Fair set for Thursday evening at Civic Centre

With school now back in session for the fall, parents can turn their attention to some of the after school activities that North Coast children enjoy, with the City of Prince Rupert hosting a Community Registration Fair tomorrow night at the Civic Centre.

The event offers up one stop registration for a range of community activities both run through the Civic Centre itself or through the number of organizations and sports associations around the city.

The Registration Fair participants will be on hand to not only receive applications for the year ahead, but to answer questions about what their sport or activity has to offer and what kind of commitment is required of both child and parent.

In August, we outlined some of the groups that had indicated their plans to attend, which you can review here.

However since then the number of participants has most likely grown and will offer an even larger number of options for the fall and winter.

You can also find out more about the fall programs being run through the Civic Centre and Earl Mah Aquatic Centre from the Recreation Department's Fall Active Living Guide

Tomorrow night's event takes place from 5 until 9 PM at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

For more information on the evening's plans, contact the Prince Rupert Recreation Department at 250-624-6707 or 250-627-7946.
