North Coast residents looking forward to the start of the Charles Hays Rainmakers season can get a small sample of the ball to come tonight, as the team welcomes some old friends back to the North Coast.

An evening of entertainment, hijinks and some impressive basketball is in store tonight when Prince Rupert gets a sample of Showtime Harlem Crowns style, with the travelling basketball troupe making their way to Prince Rupert and a match up with the Rainmakers at the Charles Hays Gymnasium.

The popular family event has a scheduled tip off time of 7 PM, but as anyone who has attended a Harlem Crowns show, arriving before tip off provides a good sample of some of the fun to come through the evening.

The Harlem Crowns first hit the court in the late 1950's and since then have travelled the world, averaging some 150 dates per year in the US, Canada and Asia.

They have been working their way through British Columbia through October and into November.

Tickets are available for 10 dollars at the Door for tonight's show.
