Blog Watching, week ending January 3, 2016


Our first edition of weekly recap does a little looking back and a bit of advance scouting on events ahead to start our New Year off.

It being the holiday period, the news cycle was fairly light over the last seven days,  however a few items rose to the top of the list when it came to interest from the items posted this week.

With notes on the early stages of planning for a local group looking to help relocate Syrian families on the North Coast finding a fairly large audience this week.

The success of Gary Coons at the Blue Knuckle Derby and plans for the annual Polar Bear Dip were also received well over the last seven days.

Our review of the most read items of 2015 proved to be a popular item, as was some advance notice on the upcoming auditions for Prince Rupert's Got Talent.

However, the top item of the week came by way of the Rotary Club of Prince Rupert as they look to put together a program of welcome to bring Syrian refugee families to the North Coast.
