New Beers Resolution Curling set for weekend

The first date on the local curling calendar is looming fast, with the popular New Beers Curling Challenge planned for this weekend at the Prince Rupert Curling Club at Seal Cove.

The ice breaker for the New Year offers up an evening of Free Curling, providing North Coasters the chance to learn a bit about the Sport, challenge some friends or co-workers or just work on their sweeping and lively commands of Hurry, Hurry!

Equipment is being provided for those that are new to the game and Beginners are welcome, with hopes that one slide down the ice will make for new devotees to the Roaring Game.

Refreshments for the evening are offered up by the Wheelhouse Brewing Company which will be providing range of their various brands at rock bottom pricing.

Doors to Saturday's New Beers Resolution Challenge open at 6 PM.

Saturday's event launches the Winter Curling season which features three major events still to come.

The Fishermen's Sturling Spiel next up on the calendar on January 23rd, followed by the Mixed Bonspiel in late February and the Marine Men's Bonspiel in Mid March.
