BC Campgrounds preparing for launch of Reservation Season March 15th

Registration for Provincial campground
spaces opens on March 15th
Those looking to escape to British Columbia's wilderness and the options for camping offered by the Province will want to keep March 15th in mind, that is the first day for 2016 when reservations for spots can be made.

Early birds can begin the registration process at 7 AM through the Discover Camping website or through their call centre at 1-800-689-9025 (there is a five dollar surcharge for the call centre line).

Individual camping sites in many of the province's parks are available for booking up three months in advance.

Prince Rupert's Prudhomme Lake
campground is one of a number
locations listed with Discover Camping
The Discover Camping website features an interactive reservation system and displays the availability, layout and amenities at 122 campgrounds across British Columbia.

And while reservations are available for many of the province's camping spots, half of all the
available camping opportunities remain on a first come, first served basis.

Last year, more than 185,000 reservations were made through Discover Camping, an increase of 19 per cent from the year before.

More background on the province's camping plan for 2016 can be found here.
