Nomination period for PRMHA positions comes to an end Monday

The strength of local hockey in the community comes from the core group of volunteers that step up for the Prince Rupert Minor Hockey Association each year.

From the coaches behind the bench, to the executive positions that tackle the larger concerns, they make for a group that takes on the challenge of running of an organization as large as minor hockey.

All with the collective goal of keeping it fun on the ice for the popular fall and winter activity in the region.

As the PRHMA looks ahead to the 2017-18 season, the call for nominations for a range of executive positions is about to end, the list of those positions that are now open include:

President
First Vice-President (Rep)
Second Vice-President (House)
Secretary
Treasurer
Referee in Chief
Registrar
Head Coach
Sponsorship/Fundraising
Risk Manager

All directors must be members of the Prince Rupert Minor Hockey Association in good standing and all terms are to be held for a one year term.

The nomination process closes at 5 PM on Monday, March 27th.

Would be applicants should take note that late nomination papers will not be accepted, however verbal nominations will be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting with the support of a nominator.

That Annual General Meeting takes place on Thursday, April 13th starting at 7PM in the Raven Room at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
