City work on utility infrastructure set for East Side

The summer construction season means more work on the city's aging infrastructure issues as city work crews are dispatched out to a range of items on the public work's to do list.

The City of Prince Rupert is giving a heads up to motorists and pedestrians on the city's east side this week, with a notice posted to the City website on Tuesday outlining the planned repairs to the utility infrastructure.

Green and 7th Avenue East is the area of the proposed new elders/senior's residence development by the Metlakatla Development Corporation.

The work is scheduled for the Green Street and 7th Avenue East area of the city, and is planned to take place over the next few weeks.

Those travelling through the area are reminded to observe posted signage and speed restrictions through the work area.
