Oldfield Creek Hatchery hosting Broodstock Collection event this Saturday

As the 2017 fishing season moves towards hibernation, the Oldfield Creek Hatchery has some important work to be done this weekend as they conduct their annual Broodstock Collection.

The Wantage Road facility is the gathering spot for this years collection of Coho from Oldfield Creek, the kid friendly event takes place at 930 AM Saturday morning.

Volunteers are reminded that they must be equipped with proper personal attire such as weather appropriate clothing, sturdy walking boots, waders as well as safety equipment such as a PFD.

It's anticipated that the collection should take roughly three hours from start to finish.
