the popular dining spot in the city suffered fire, water and smoke damage
in an overnight fire.

Grabbing a lunch or dinner, or picking up some of the variety of seafood options from the freezers at Dolly's Fish market will be on hold for a bit of time, that after the popular Cow Bay area restaurant and Fish Shop suffered smoke and water damage following an early morning fire.

Members of the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue department were called out shortly after 4 AM after reports of smoke were raised by a tenant in the upper floor of the building, upon arrival the crew from the 1st Ave West Fire Hall quickly determined the source of the fire.

The responding crew worked quickly to knock down the blaze that reportedly had started in the lower floor area and spread to the upper floor of the two storey structure.

The smell of smoke still was lingering through the air in the mid morning period at the scene of the fire, while contractors worked inside the restaurant and upper floor to assess the damage and the repairs required.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire, which is now being investigated by the Fire/Rescue department.
