Lax Kw'alaams members to hear results of Spring consultation on Community Plan

Planning for the future of Lax Kw'alaams would seem set to head into its next phase, with the members of the First Nation community north of Prince Rupert set to get their first glimpse of work on a Community plan, a process which has been in motion since earlier this year.

As we noted on the blog in February, residents of Lax Kw'alaams were invited to share some thoughts with Dan George of Four Directions consulting, who was signed on by the Band Council to take the pulse of the community on a range of issues through a number of public consultation sessions.

The review of the results of that community input is now complete, with Mr. George set to return to the North Coast next week to provide for his report that will expand on the Community plan for Lax Kw'alaams.

Two sessions have been set up for members of the First Nation, on in Lax Kw'alaams and the other in Prince Rupert on the following dates:

November 7, 5:30- 8 PM --  Lax Kw'alaams Recreation Centre
November 8, 5:30 - 8 PM -- Crest Hotel, Prince Rupert

Members will be able to review the findings and ask further questions during the course of the presentation.

Updates on notes from the Band Council can be found through their Facebook page.
