City's First job call for 2018 is for the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre

The Earl Mah Aquatic Centre has broken the ice for hiring for 2018
making for the first City of Prince Rupert Job opportunity for the year


After a rather quiet January on the employment front, the first Job opportunity of the new year with the City of Prince Rupert has been posted, as the City's Recreation Department seeks the services of an Aquatic Leader/Lifeguard Instructor Trainer.

The position which is part of the CUPE Local 105 membership has a closing date of March 15th, 2018.

Beyond the expected skills and certification required for Aquatic Centre employment, the position also is looking for applicants who have knowledge of the philosophies, objectives and practices of community aquatic programs, as well as experience in planning, supervising and evaluating programs as well as supervision of lifeguards, instructors and volunteers.

The successful applicant will be required to meet all physical standards of the Lifesaving Society's National Lifeguard Service Award every two months.
