CityWest launches community newsletter; invites residents to Fibre Launch party Friday

CityWest is hosting a Fibre to Home
launch party and you're invited!
Prince Rupert's Communication company CityWest is doing a little communicating of its own this week, launching a new community update newsletter, delivered to city residences with their regular mail delivery.

The Two Page update titled "News Up North" features, an extended look at  CityWest's plans to bring Fibre to the home to Prince Rupert residences, highlighting the faster speeds that it will bring, the ability to increase the High Definition channels through the television service and reliable telephone service.

The project will take somewhere from three to five years to complete, with CityWest working from the outside limits of the city and moving inward towards completion.

As part of the celebration of the Fibre Launch, CityWest is hosting a Launch Party on Friday night from 5 to 9 PM, taking place in the upstairs section of the Seal Cove Neighbourhood Pub.

The CityWest team will be on hand to outline what the project involves and answer any questions you may have about the Fibre to the Home technology and the service coming to Prince Rupert.

The remainder of the newsletter turns to the recently announced Sub Sea Fibre project, with a recap of the Prince Rupert based communication company plans to build a Fibre link to Vancouver island and Haida Gwaii.

It also offers up some quick facts about the company, including CityWest's roots in Prince Rupert and the contribution that it makes to the community by way of employment, taxes and distribution payments,

If you haven't checked your mailbox yet, a sample of the new initiative can be reviewed below:
