Prince Rupert's Brady Ward featured in Selkirk Saints write up

Brady Ward is in his
second year at Selkirk
College in Castlegar
One of a number of Prince Rupert residents taking their hockey talents to a higher level is Brady Ward who currently plays his hockey with the Selkirk Saints of the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League.

The Saints currently hold down second place in the six team league and are in a tough race for first with Trinity Western from the Fraser Valley. Ward has played in 17 of the teams 19 games on the year with 2 goals and an assist on the stats sheet for play to this point.

Both Ward's on ice and academic work has been featured through a recent item on the Selkirk College website.

The focus of the article reviews the path that the 23 year old Rupertite took from the North Coast, through the Kootenay International Hockey league before arriving at the Selkirk campus in Castlegar.

Some dedicated studies in his first year helped to steer him towards the Recreation Fish and Wildlife Program at Selkirk, which seems like a perfect fit for a young man who grew up on the water and now is on a path towards a career as either a Conservation Officer or Fishery Officer.

A popular member of the Saints lineup, his gritty style of play has made him a favourite not only of those on the team, but for the fans in the stands at Saints home games.
