More contributions come in for North Coast Health Improvement project



The fundraising work continues on for the members of the North Coast Health Improvement Society and this week the group has raised an additional 10,000 dollars towards their work on an upgrade for the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital Cancer Care Unit.

The latest donation coming through the support of Prince Rupert Grain which donated the 10,000 dollar cheque to the cause this week.

As we outlined on the blog in January, the group of dedicated local volunteers with the Society chose the Cancer Care Unit as their focus for this year, launching their fundraising efforts at the start of this year.

Their goal is to raise 200,000 dollars towards the work for the unit which will be put towards upgrades in treatment technology and increased comfort for patients and their families that requier the services of the Cancer Care Unit.
