Northwest RCMP detachments open missing person file for Terrace resident

RCMP in the Northwest are working a missing persons file
seeking the whereabouts of Terrace resident  David Sung Duk Kim

Members of the Prince Rupert and Terrace detachments of the RCMP are asking the public for its assistance in locating a 45 year old Terrace resident who has been reported missing, with his vehicle last seen at the Khyex River viewpoint on Highway 16.

In an information release from today, both detachments outline the scope of the search for David Sung Duk Kim, who was last seen leaving the Shames Mountain parking area on April 7th.

As part of their investigation those involved in the search located the vehicle, a Blue 2007 Toyota Yaris at the Khyex viewpoint, some 50 kilometres from Prince Rupert.

Members of both detachments, as well as teams from Search and Rescue groups from Terrace and Prince Rupert have since been conducting a search in that immediate area over the weekend and into today.

If travellers along Highway 16 on Saturday evening or through the day Sunday
noticed anything of interest related to the vehicle above, they are asked to
contact the RCMP in either Terrace or Prince Rupert

If you have any information to share, particularly from the period of time from 3PM on the 7th through to Sunday, you are asked to contact the RCMP  at 250-627-0700 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
