BC Coroners Office/Prince Rupert RCMP investigation starts into death of man discovered on Fulton Street

The discovery of an unconscious man in the 600 block of Fulton Street shortly after 7 PM on Friday evening brought a full response from members of the RCMP,  Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue and BC Ambulance service.

However, despite the efforts first of the responding RCMP officer to administer CPR and other measures by the Fire/Rescue and Ambulance service, they were not able to resuscitate the 59 year old male, who was later pronounced deceased.

The call for assistance came from a member of the public who had come across the man, bringing the Emergency services to the scene, with the RCMP also rerouting traffic away from the situation.

The cause of death to this point is still unknown with the RCMP and BC Coroner's Service now conducting an investigation into his passing.
