Transit Advisory for Carnival weekend: With change to Civic Centre Stop

The Bus Won't Stop here (at least until the Carnival is Over
Prince Rupert Transit has changed its stop for the Civic Centre
with the change in effect until Monday morning

The arrival of the Carnival to the parking lot of the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre will mean a shift in the routing of the city's bus system that accesses the facility.

On Friday the City relayed news from Prince Rupert Transit that bus service to the Civic Centre will not be taking its usual route along the roadway in front of the building.

Instead, owing to safety concerns in the congested area of the Civic Centre, the Bus along route Number 53 and the Port Edward Bus Route 60  will stop in front of Spero's Market on McBride and then continue along their regular route on McBride.

The measure is a temporary one running the length of the Carnival, regular service will resume on Monday morning.

You can review the city's notice here.
