Prince Rupert Minor Soccer in need of division coordinators prior to season launch

With soccer season soon to get underway on the North Coast the final stages of division management and schedule creation are underway, and this year heading towards the first kicks of the season, the Prince Rupert Youth Soccer Association is looking for a little help from the community.

The organization is looking for Division Coordinators for the Under 5 and Under 6 Divisions, with an update on the PRYSA facebook page noting that those divisions may see a delayed start should they not be able to find someone to fill those roles.

Should you have some time to lend a hand you can contact them through their Facebook page or by email at pryouthsoccer@gmail.com

Coaching clinics are set for April 1st and 2nd, offering the community volunteers a chance to learn some skills to pass along to their teams, as well as to exchange ideas on the season ahead.

PRYSA is also looking for referees for the upcoming season, if you are 12 years of age and over you are eligible to participate in the soccer association as a referee, working as officials during the course of PRYSA season is a paid position.

More than 600 youth participate in soccer in Prince Rupert each year, the kick off to the 2017 Soccer schedule comes on April Third at a number of fields across the city.

For more information on the season ahead see the PRYSA website or Facebook page.
