Peacekeeping the theme for NWCC Brown Bag lunch session today

With Canada about to return to the front lines of a peacekeeping mission to the African nation of Mali, a timely lunch hour session comes to the Prince Rupert campus of Northwest Community College today.

As part of their lunch hour Brown Bag Lecture Series, NWCC will be hosting Corporal Lindsay Gidney a former member of Canada's PPCLI regiment who will be recounting some of his experiences from a range of peacekeeping missions from Canada's long history of engagement with UN and NATO operations.

Corporal Gidney, a Mi'kmaq veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces will review this country's work and his experiences on Canada's missions to Cyprus, Namibia and Bosnia.

The lunch hour session takes place in Room 221 of the Prince Rupert Campus from Noon to 1 PM

Admission to the lecture series is free, and you're invited to bring your own lunch and engage in the discussion on peacekeeping and what those that Canada sends off on such missions can expect to experience.
